These days, GMO’s are all around us. It’s hard to find basic ingredients or products we consume that aren’t tainted in some way by genetically modified ingredients or undergo some form of processing.
Living the Okanagan is a blessing in terms of farm to table ingredients. Natural – organic – free range and run. But what about places who aren’t blessed with this kind of availability and consumer choice. We all know, the further you get from the supply, the more expensive something gets. Gas being a perfect example. Same goes for Food. So I’ll relate this to my hometown of Calgary where finding organic and local produce can be a bit tricky, and when you find it, you’re going to pay a hefty price to make an organic choice over a non-organic choice.
